In the forums I sometimes prowl, a question was asked: “What is the specialty of your story, what makes your story stand out, so to speak?”

Mine? It’s my language. Just far enough outside the norm that I can confidently say it’s not for everyone.

If you're the kind of reader who gets a kick out of the way a writer says something, give my stuff a whirl— especially if you dug the Master and Commander series, The Last Unicorn, Tom Wolfe, or anything that savors of poetry. If, however, you like it terse and think adjectives should be purged with a flamethrower, then kindly move along.
