a guest aboard ship

It’s really great when you get a chance to talk about something you enjoy. This week’s episode of “The Lubber’s Hole”— a podcast in which Patrick O’Brian superfans Mike Shank and Ian Bradley read and discuss their way through the POB canon— featured me as a guest!

It was really fun to talk with Mike and Ian. We chatted a few weeks ago using a really ingenious app called Zencastr, which let us have a normal conversation while capturing each of our voices in excellent recording-studio quality audio for later editing. I think it worked like a charm—it is, as Jack Aubrey would say, “the completest thing”.
