So, yeah. I wrote a third book— DOOM’S DAZE— and had a livestream party to celebrate.

I had oh, so much planned. A cute entry sequence where I snuck in, in full 60s spy costume, and placed my books on the table to the tones of mysterious music. No sound.

Then I was going to show you the video I spent all month working on! Didn’t play.

How about the live reading? Well, THAT was fun. In my back yard, with the Golden Hour of Chicagoland shining down— as well as loud airplanes— I entertained viewers and gave away prizes: a set of vintage James Bond paperbacks, a handcrafted felt toy moth, and three magpie necklaces.

I concluded with a delicious toast served in classic crystal…and a possibly rabid raccoon.
