Writer friends: if you’re ever groaning at the prospect of stuff you “have to write because it's part of the story”.. stop and figure out what that stuff is, then sprinkle it elsewhere in the piece. Because if writing this chapter bores YOU, can you imagine what reading it will do to someone else?
